Welcoming August Jones to the team!

We are thrilled to announce that August Jones, LCSW (Auggie) has joined Love Positive Counseling and is currently seeing clients online, will be offering in person sessions soon! (They just have to finish setting up their snazzy office!)

About Auggie:

I love working with folks experiencing life journeys and transitions including questioning gender and sexuality, understanding substance use struggles, healing from traumatic experiences, moving through grief (death, empty nesting, divorce) and even coping with exciting but stressful changes like starting college, moving, and career changes.

The therapeutic relationship we will build is a safe space that facilitates healing and growth. Authenticity, flexibility, creativity and open heartedness are extremely important in my work. It is important to approach any struggles with compassion and curiosity. I love exploring how systems and external expectations keep you from your most authentic self.

My experience as a social worker and as a queer transgender person has helped me grow into an intuitive understanding of our complex humanness. I take my work seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously. Therapy is hard work but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun along the way!

August Jones’s self pay is $175/hr and they are in network with Aetna, Cigna, and Optum (United Healthcare).
