
Leandra J. Desinord, M.Ed,Ed.S, is a master’s level Marriage and Family therapist, offering individual, couples, family and sex therapy under the direction and supervision of Anna Baxter, LPC. She has a bachelor’s in English and Psychology, masters and specialist’s in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has history working with individuals (children/adult), couples and families.
Operating from a family systems approach, Leandra works to decrease distress and conflict within family dynamics. She also uses Cognitive Behavioral techniques to assist clients in recognizing maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that may hinder growth in various aspects of their lives. She is also trauma-based, incorporating mindfulness in her practice to help clients begin their healing journey.
Leandra is passionate about her work with couples, using Gottman Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy techniques to help couples recognize patterns and values within their relationship that either helps/hinders their development as a unit. She enjoys focusing on attachment and communication, teaching couples how to navigate their relationship based on these styles.
She strives to provide a safe sex-positive space for individuals and/or couples willing to learn, explore and accept themselves as sexual beings. She is eager to provide services for the LGBTQ+ community and clients interested in exploring other aspects of their sexuality.
Leandra’s primary focus is to support her clients in achieving their desired growth. As one of Leandra’s clients, you will be challenged to learn about yourself in ways that will continuously promote inner peace, healing and love.
Leandra will be available for scheduling new clients come January 4th! Leandra's rate is $125/hr with some availability for sliding scale as clients need as she forms her caseload.
