Welcome to the team, Jamie!
I’m so excited to announce that we have a new team member, Jamie Campos! Jamie is pursuing their doctorate at West Georgia, so they will only be available for remote/telehealth sessions.
Jamie Campos, MA
They are a trans-pangender associate clinician who is interested in working with those who have experienced psychosis, altered states of consciousness, and those who have felt marginalized by their mental health diagnosis. They work with clients utilizing a dynamic psychosocial lens that considers all aspects of your mental well-being as uniquely shaped by your experience of culture and identity. They take a relational-existentialist approach when working with clients, which means that they contextualize their clients’ experiences by exploring meaning, relationships, and seeking to understand how these aspects of life interact with identity. I also include evidence-based methodology such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support my client’s healing with structure, resources, and education. Their theory is porous and adaptive, per the uniqueness of each of their clients, which may be better supported by other counseling frameworks.
Jamie is an associate professional counselor in Georgia, which means that they are under the supervision of Anna Baxter, LPC, CPCS. They are currently accepting new clients! Their rate for services is $140/hr for individual therapy, with limited sliding scale availability. If you are interested in learning more about doing counseling with them, I encourage you to reach out to them directly at (214) 605 1726 or via email jamiecampos.counseling@proton.me to set up a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if they may be a good match for your counseling needs.
